Most of the Center's architecture books come from a single acquisition: the entire stock of the London book dealer Ben Weinreb, purchased in 1969. Books from all periods, and by a great variety of authors, are in the collection: from Vitruvius and Palladio through the Adams brothers to the école des beaux-arts, and from Horace Walpole through Pugin to Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright. The Ransom Center's holdings complement the large resources of the University's Architecture and Planning Library.
Registration for the Flair Symposium, November 13-15, 2008, is now open. Registration is open to the public with a limited number of spaces available to students at a discounted price. Members of the Harry Ransom Center also receive a discount.
