Conservation Online (CoOL) covers far more than book conservation, bur contains a great deal of information on books and scrapbooks, as well as links to the AIC (American Institute for Conservation) website which is a great place to find the names of professional conservators in your area. Society of the History of Books, Reading and Publishing (SHARP) gives a broad range of social and historical context for book readership and production. It has an associated list-serve.
Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) has information on professional booksellers throughout the US, with information about appraisal and collecting.
Rare Book School (RBS) is an independent non-profit educational institute supporting the study of the history of books and printing and related subjects.
