Edmund McIlhenny

Edmund McIlhenny is currently Vice President and Director of Avery Island, Inc., which manages the salt mine, oil and gas operations, landholdings, and other investments owned by this corporation. He also serves as Director of McIlhenny Company, a closely held corporation that manufactures and sells Tabasco products worldwide.
McIlhenny received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also received a law degree from Tulane University and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. He currently serves on the St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital's Capital Campaign Committee in Houston, Texas. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, McIlhenny serves on the Arts and Science Foundation Board and the Library Board. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Board of Dauterive Hospital, Chairman of the Board of Louisiana Nature Conservancy, as a member of the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission, and as a Director of the U.S. Trademark Association.
He is married to Pamela McIlhenny, and they have three daughters.
