Cary T. Roberts
Cary T. Roberts is a 1950 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. After graduation she was a Field Director for the Girl Scouts. While living in Houston, she was an assistant to the personnel manager for an oil company. She left the work force to stay at home to raise a son and daughter, which involved a large number of volunteer activities. While the children were still at home, the family moved twice from Texas to the Northeast, and back to Houston.
Cary maintains a life-long interest in words and books. The family now includes four adult grandchildren. She and her husband, Ken, enjoy extensive world travel and divide their time between homes in Houston and Pebble Beach, California.
