Jill Jewett is the president of Jewett Consulting, which is focused on community-building projects, strategic planning and problem solving for non-profit organizations. She is currently serving as Project Manager for the MATCH: Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston. Additional clients include the Hobby Center Foundation, Discovery Green, The Houston Public Library Foundation, Queensbury Theater, the University of Houston, and Project Row Houses.
Prior to starting her consulting firm, Jewett was the Mayor's Assistant for Cultural Affairs in Mayor Bill White's administration. Her primary responsibility was to manage the city's role in historic preservation, the arts, and cultural initiatives.
Jewett holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Art History and American Studies from the University of Virginia, and a Masters in Business Administration from Rice University. Jill is currently on the board of the Greater Houston Community Foundation, the Houston Parks Board, the East Downtown Redevelopment Authority and the Glassell School of Art.
Past boards have included St. John's School, Hermann Park Conservancy, The Shepherd School of Music, the Contemporary Arts Museum, and Congregation Beth Israel.
Jewett and her husband Dunham have three grown children and enjoy spending time at their farm in Moulton, Texas.
