Virginia Drake Lebermann

Virginia Drake Lebermann is the Co-Founder and Board President of Marfa (Texas)-based contemporary arts foundation Ballroom Marfa. Ms. Lebermann is a principal of T.C. Oil Co. and O'Connor Investments and also oversees Wexford Cattle Company and Wexford Publishing, all based in Victoria (Texas). Virginia is also the Chairman of Austin (Texas)-based Centex Beverage, Inc and the managing partner of the Marfa-based Thunderbird Hotel.

Ms. Lebermann's extensive involvement with not-for-profit organizations includes board positions with the Chinati Foundation (Marfa), ArtLies (Houston), River Pierce Foundation (San Ygnacio, Texas) and Charles Moore Foundation (Austin) as well as advisory board or council positions with University of Texas McDonald Observatory (Fort Davis, Texas), University of Texas Press (Austin), Aspen Institute (Aspen, Colorado) and National Public Radio Foundation (Washington, D.C.).

Virginia received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Middlebury College (Middlebury, Vermont) and attended the New York University Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing. Ms. Lebermann received the inaugural ArtTable New Leadership Award in April of 2005 in recognition of her leadership in the contemporary arts.

Virginia lives with her husband and son in Marfa and Austin.
