First collected edition of Disjecta. Miscellaneous Writings and a Dramatic Fragment, edited with a foreword by Ruby Cohn (London: John Calder, 1983). With a presentation inscription by Beckett and corrections in Beckett’s hand on the final page of text.

The “dramatic fragment” of the subtitle is a finished portion of “Human Wishes,” an otherwise uncompleted four-act “fantasy” Beckett worked at in 1937 based on the relationship between Dr. Samuel Johnson and Mrs. Hester Thrale.
