Near the end of the road from the Changjin Reservoir to the beach at Hungnam, Marines look but do not stop as they pass the crumpled bodies of men killed in the last Chinese ambush. The dead were picked up later by trucks and trailers toward the end of the column. Korea, December 1950. |
