8 August 1974In a letter addressed to the "two reporters who broke Watergate" and written on the day that President Nixon announced his resignation, a college professor expresses his appreciation to Woodward and Bernstein, who despite a Pulitzer Prize, a best-selling book, and many fans, were still somewhat unknown at the time. A second book and a hit movie two years later would bring them much greater recognition.
