Registrants may check in for the symposium between 4-5:30 p.m. at the Harry Ransom Center. Upon check-in, registrants will receive their symposium name badge, which will serve as their ticket to all symposium-related events.
The opening keynote address will be delivered by Salman Rushdie and will take place at 6 p.m. Location to be announced. Registrants must present their symposium name badge to claim their reserved seat.
Additional seats will be available for the general public. All attendees must present a free ticket for entrance. Ticket information will be posted in early September to hrc.utexas.edu/events. Ransom Center members receive early access to tickets.
Thursday, October 29-Friday, October 30
Thursday and Friday events will take place at the Blanton Auditorium. Panels will take place Thursday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. with a closing reception following Friday’s panels (6-7:30 p.m.). Coffee and a light continental breakfast will be available before panels begin on Thursday and Friday mornings.
Symposium panels will be webcast live. A link to view the live webcast will be available here during the symposium. Simultaneous Spanish and English translation will be available.
