Symposium Venues UP
All symposium events will take place on The University of Texas at Austin campus. Specific event venues are noted in the schedule and include:
Located in the Smith Building at the Blanton Museum of Art, 200 E. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard.
Location of all symposium panels, breakfasts, coffee breaks, and closing reception.
Harry Ransom Center
Located at the corner of 21st and Guadalupe Streets, 300 West 21st Street.

LLILAS Benson Latin American Studies and Collections
Located in Sid Richardson Hall, 2300 Red River Street.

Traveling to Austin UP
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport serves the Austin area.
Several travel options are available from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to the The University of Texas at Austin and area hotels. Detailed information may be found on the airport's Ground Transportation webpage.
An Amtrak station is located at 250 North Lamar Boulevard and is convenient to downtown Austin.
A Greyhound station is located three miles north of campus at 916 E. Koenig Ln.
A Megabus stop is located across the street from the Ransom Center on Whitis Avenue between W. 20th and W. 21st Streets.
Transportation to The University of Texas at Austin UP
The University of Texas at Austin is located just north of the downtown Austin area. Main thoroughfares around campus include Guadalupe Street to the west, Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard to the south, Red River Street to the east, and Dean Keeton Street (26th Street) to the north.
Capital Metro is Austin's regional public transportation provider. Their services include local routes with multiple stop service to and from neighborhoods and downtown, express routes and rail service, and University of Texas at Austin shuttle routes.

- Directions from IH-35:
Take Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard exit (exit 235A) and turn west onto MLK Boulevard. Campus will be on your right.
- Directions from MoPac/Loop 1*:
Take the Windsor Road exit and turn east onto Windsor Road. Windsor Road turns into 24th Street. Continue to travel east on 24th Street until it dead-ends into Guadalupe Street, the west border of campus.
*Note: this route may include toll roads.
- Directions from Highway 71:
From east of Austin, take IH-35 North and follow directions for IH-35 above
From west of Austin, take MoPac/Highway 1 North and follow directions for MoPac/Highway 1 above.
- Directions from US-290:
From east of Austin, take I-35 South and follow directions for I-35 above.
From west of Austin, follow directions for Highway 71 above.
- Directions from US-183:
From north of Austin, take MoPac/Highway 1 South and follow directions for MoPac/Highway 1 above.
From south of Austin, take Highway 111/Airport Boulevard north to Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard. Turn west (left) onto MLK Boulevard and continue west on MLK Boulevard until it intersects with Guadalupe Street. Campus will be on your left.
Parking at The University of Texas at Austin UP
Parking on the University campus is limited. The best parking option for visitors is in any of the nine UT parking garages located around the campus. No permit is required to park in the garages; fees are based on the amount of time you are parked in the garage.
The UT parking garages located nearest to the symposium venues include:
- Brazos Garage, 210 E. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard, for best access to The Blanton Museum of Art
- San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio Street, for best access to Hogg Auditorium
- AT&T Conference Center Garage, 1900 University Avenue, for best access to the Ransom Center
- Manor Garage, 2017 Robert Dedman Dr., for best access to LLILAS Benson

Non-university parking options include street meters and private surface lots and garages. Non-university garages include the Bullock Texas State History Museum (beneath the museum; entrance on south side on 18th Street) and Dobie Mall (2005 Whitis Avenue, across the street from the Ransom Center).
Be sure to obey parking signs throughout the greater campus area. Restrictions are enforced.
