Ransom Center Guide Published
The Ransom Center's new Guide to the Collections was published this spring, more than a dozen years after the first edition appeared. Organized by area of study, it is intended to serve a wide audience of scholars, critics, dedicated readers, students, and enthusiasts who wish to work with or learn from the materials in the Center's collections.
The revamped and expanded Guide, which was edited by Special Assistant to the Director Margaret J. Barker, reflects recent acquisitions and major additions of the last decade featuring descriptions of the Center's holdings in over 20 different areas of study, including several new ones.
The Guide boasts a foreword by Director Thomas F. Staley and essays by Sally Leach and Kurt Heinzelman. It also includes information on how to access and use the collections, as well as descriptions of the fellowships, programs, and publications offered by the Center. The sleek Guide is illustrated with over 70 images from the collections, and makes a wonderful souvenir and resource for scholar and tourist alike.
