Accepting research fellowship applications
Research fellow Chukwuma Azuonye, of the University of Massachusetts at Boston, visited the Ransom Center over the summer to study the papers of Nigerian poet Christopher Okigbo. Azuonye received a Mellon fellowship to support his research and travel.
Approximately 40 fellowships are awarded annually by the Ransom Center to support scholarly research projects in all areas of the humanities. Priority is given to proposals that concentrate on the Center's collections.
The fellowships are funded by individual donors and organizations.
The application process has begun for 2007-2008 research fellowships. The deadline for applying is February 1, 2007.
