Ransom Center Implements New Patron Database
The Ransom Center is replacing its current patron database this spring with Aeon, a comprehensive management system designed by Atlas Systems expressly for special collections libraries. All patrons requesting materials will be required to create a new user account through which they will be able to request materials and monitor the status of their photoduplication requests. As one of the first large libraries to implement Aeon, the Center hopes to improve management of all patron transactions, from initial registration to digital copy ordering.
