Tim O'Brien was named the 2010 recipient of the Katherine Anne Porter Award by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Sebastian Barry's play White Woman Street was performed at the Irish Repertory Theater in New York throughout May and June.

Iain Sinclair's novel Hackney, That Rose-Red Empire (Hamish Hamilton) was shortlisted for the 2010 Royal Society of Literature Ondaatje Prize.

The Ransom Center's brochure The Mystique of the Archive won the 2010 Katharine Kyes Leab and Daniel J. Leab Exhibition Award from the American Library Association. Also, the campaign to promote From Out That Shadow: The Life and Legacy of Edgar Allan Poe and the exhibition materials for Making Movies won national awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
