Sebastian Barry's new novel, The Temporary Gentleman, was published by Viking in May.

Jim Crace received the 2014 Donald Windham–Sandy M. Campbell Literature Prize for Fiction.

Alan Furst's novel Midnight in Europe was published by Random House in June.

Diane Johnson's new memoir, Flyover Lives, was published by Viking in January.

The Library of America released two new collections of Bernard Malamud's fiction, Novels and Stories of the 1940s and 50s and Novels and Stories of the 1960s.

Peter Matthiessen's novel In Paradise was published by Riverhead in April. Matthiessen died on April 5, 2014.

Iain Sinclair's new book, American Smoke: Journeys to the End of the Light, was published by Faber & Faber in April.

The archives of Barry, Crace, Furst, Johnson, Matthiessen, and Sinclair reside at the Ransom Center. The Center has a significant collection of Malamud materials.
