Before making your reservations, please check the conference schedule. Several tours and a workshop will be offered during the day on Tuesday, June 20, with an opening reception at the InterContinental hotel that evening. The main conference program will run from Wednesday morning, June 21 through noon on Friday, June 23.

Preconference Hotel

The InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel, at 701 Congress Ave., in Austin, Texas is the official RBMS Preconference hotel. This historic landmark luxury hotel was opened in 1924, renovated in 2000, and has hosted the social scene for legislators, business people and educators for more than 60 years. Rooms are available at a special discounted group rates to RBMS Preconference attendees.

Discounted Group Rates (single or double):
Standard rooms - $99
Deluxe rooms - $129 (these rooms are more spacious with sitting area and larger bath)

InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel's complimentary Fitness Center caters to the health conscious with a fully equipped gymnasium, indoor lap pool, dry sauna, massage rooms and whirlpool. Reservations for championship golf and tennis facilities can be arranged via the hotel concierge.

Overflow Hotels

The Driskill Hotel
The Driskill Hotel at 604 Brazos St. in Austin, Texas is the official RBMS Preconference overflow hotel. Built in 1886 as the showplace of a cattle baron, The Driskill Hotel stands as a landmark of Texas hospitality. Austin's legendary four-diamond luxury hotel occupies a dynamic site in the city's business and entertainment districts and is conveniently located across the street from the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel (main preconference hotel).

Hampton Inn and Suites
The Hampton Inn and Suites at 200 San Jacinto Blvd Blvd. in Austin, Texas is offering a discounted rate for the RBMS Preconference. The Hampton Inn and Suites is about 7 blocks (about 10 minute walk) from the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel (main preconference hotel).

Discounted Group Rate (single or double): $129.00 (includes breakfast)

University of Texas at Austin, Residence Hall

University housing is available on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Guest housing will be in the San Jacinto Residence Hall. Rooms include: private baths, individual thermostat control, daily housekeeping service, bed and bath linens, soap and plastic cup, television and telephone with free local service. Bath linens are exchanged daily.

Rates:
Residence hall rates include lodging for three nights: June 20, 21, and 22. The package rates are $105 per person for double occupancy or $210 per person for single occupancy.

Please complete the University of Texas at Austin Conference Housing Request Form and mail or fax it in to the address/fax number on the form.

Shuttle Service:
There is a free shuttle service in Austin called the "'Dillo" that you can take into downtown Austin and within a short walk of the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel. You can pick up 'Dillos near the Harry Ransom Center at 21st Street and Guadalupe. San Jacinto Residence Hall is on 21st Street. If you walk three blocks west on 21st, you will come to Guadalupe. Cross Guadalupe to the bus stop and take the Red or Gold 'Dillo headed southbound and get off at 7th Street, cross Congress to get to the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel (701 Congress Avenue).
