Tuesday 6:00-7:30pm
The opening reception will be held on Tuesday, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., in the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel in the second-floor lobby and balcony. Sponsors for this event include the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America, the University of Houston Libraries, and Franklin Gilliam Rare Books.
Wednesday 6:00-8:00pm
The Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center and the Tarlton Law Library of The University of Texas at Austin are hosts of the Wednesday evening reception in the lobby of the Ransom Center from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Two Ransom Center exhibitions on Technologies of Writing and The Image Wrought: Alternative Photographic Processes in the Digital Age will be open for viewing along with the Gutenberg Bible and the First Photograph, the Center's two permanent exhibitions. Live Louisiana zydeco music by Ponte Bone & the Squeezetones.
Thursday 6:30-8:30pm
Thursday evening's reception, graciously hosted by the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres, wine, and beer are provided through the generous support of the Cushing Memorial Library and Archives, Texas A&M University Libraries, the Mary and Mavis P. Kelsey Endowment, and the Friends of the Sterling C. Evans Library, Texas A&M University.
An exhibition of historic prints of Texas from the Cushing Memorial Library and Archives will be on view. In addition, the State History Museum's exhibition, "It Still Ain't Braggin' If It's True," a fifth-anniversary look at Texas valor, vision, friendship, pride, showmanship and swagger, will be open to reception attendees as will the Museum's gift shop.
