Congratulations to the RBMS 2006 Scholarship Award Winners!

The Preconference Scholarship Committee received a record-breaking 352 applications this year. A total of 33 scholarships were awarded for this preconference, which means there was a 9% acceptance rate. The winners were selected from this extremely competitive pool following a blind review process.

Thirty of the scholarships (a $38,250 value) were funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and three scholarships were funded by generous donations from participants at last year's RBMS Preconference (a $3,825 value). Thank you for your donations, they truly do make a difference!

Thank you to everyone who donated to scholarships, applied for scholarships, and expressed interest in this program. The 2007 RBMS Preconference will be in Baltimore, MD and we look forward to your continued support and participation in that scholarship program as well. Details about the application process for the 2007 RBMS Preconference will be distributed in January 2007.
