Arts and Humanities Research Council International Placement Scheme

The Harry Ransom Center participates as a host institution for the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) International Placement Scheme (IPS). This program, funded and administered by the AHRC, offers AHRC-funded doctoral students and early career researchers from the UK the opportunity to enhance their research with a short-term (two- to three-month) residential fellowship at the Ransom Center.

Application Procedures

Full details about the application process and eligibility may be found on the AHRC website.

Applicants must identify the collections they propose to consult at the Harry Ransom Center. Information about many of the Center's collections and use of the collections is available on the Center's website. Applicants may contact an appropriate curator or librarian at the Ransom Center with specific inquiries about the collections and to confirm that the materials they wish to consult will be available during their proposed visit. Inquiries must be sent by December 1. After that, the Center cannot guarantee a response before the AHRC's application deadline. Please contact only one curator or librarian at the Center to avoid unnecessary duplication of effort. If more than one collection is involved, Center staff will ensure that your message is properly forwarded.
