Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts provide the director with a pool of immediately available funds to use when timing is crucial. For example, when works by an author or artist become available and curators must act quickly to purchase them, these funds ensure that the Center does not miss the opportunity.
Unrestricted funds are also important to campaigns, providing seed money as matching gifts for leveraging major donations.
These funds are used exclusively for Ransom Center programs and initiatives, including:
- acquisitions of collections
- conferences, lectures, and symposia
- research fellowships
- exhibitions and public programs
- preservation of rare materials
For more information on unrestricted giving please contact Lisa Avra at (512) 471-5174 or lisaavra@mail.utexas.edu.
