Margaret Vaughan Cox is founder and president of MCV Consulting, a Houston-based consultancy specializing in corporate strategy formation and family legacy and leadership planning. A highly accomplished architect and facilitator of collaborative planning processes with over 20 years of international experience in her field, Margaret is a trusted advisor to a sophisticated client base of c-suite executives, boards of directors, and wealth owners. Her work has taken her throughout North America, Europe, Australia, South Africa, and the Middle East.

Margaret earned BA degrees in English Literature and Art History and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. She is a graduate of the Society for Organizational Learning's Foundations for Leadership program in Cambridge, Massachusetts and of the American Works of Art Masters Program at Sotheby's Institute of Art in New York City. Margaret is a popular guest speaker on managing inter-generational transitions within family enterprises and is a senior consultant with Family Office Exchange (FOX), a global consultancy serving private wealth owners and their advisors.

Margaret is a member of the International Women's Forum and a past director of The Texas Lyceum, a select group of 96 leaders from across the state of Texas. In addition to the Ransom Center Advisory Council, she serves on the boards of the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH), Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC), the Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston (MATCH) and Rice University's Shepherd School of Music.
