The Red Side by M. Roberto Orduna

I knew Leslie. I haven't seen him in a while...

Maybe he'll show up! He painted me, yes, but I am more than the visual expression of his feeeelings. I am NOT defined by Alfred Leslie's human emotions. Leslie knows that—he knew that when he painted me. Look here! You can see where things get a little... er, messy... it appears to depict some kind of emotional turmoil, right? There's black and green smirched about and there's a black splotch there... must be... torment, disgust, anger, disillusionment, right? Wrong!!

Sorry... I mean, it could be those things, you're right... but it's more than that. It's an aesthetic expression, but it's not just Leslie's—it's yours and yours and yours so it could mean many things... See—Leslie didn't just wake up and feel grumpy and start painting whatever he felt like all over me. How do I know he didn't? I was there.
