Signed autograph manuscript of “All That Fall,” 68 pp., of which 63 are in Beckett’s hand. Inscribed to Jake Schwartz.

The original title, “Lovely Day for the Races,” has been crossed out and replaced by “All That Fall.” The manuscript, written in blue, black, and red ink, has numerous deletions, revisions, and additions, some doodles, mathematical calculations, and word lists (crossed out).

Beckett completed this manuscript at his cottage in Ussy in September 1957 that he had built in 1953 with money inherited from his mother.
