Man bent over and reaching out with one hand to snatch a coiled rattlesnake.

One of Duncan's closest friends in Florida, right after college, was Ross Allen. Allen regularly took his life into his own hands while capturing rattlesnakes and water moccasins for his Florida Reptile Institute in Silver Springs. Here Allen prepares to grab a rattlesnake in the Florida Everglades, 1938.
