Group Tours

Experience the world's best.

Take a tour like no other. Group tours are available for current exhibitions, the Gutenberg Bible, and the Niépce Heliograph.

To schedule a docent-led group tour for 10 or more people, please submit a tour request or contact us with questions. Private group tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance and may take place Tuesday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on weekends between noon and 4 p.m. It is not possible to accommodate docent-led tours for unscheduled groups, so please alert us to your planned visit.

• Field Trips / Self-Guided

  Please submit a group tour request or contact us with questions about your visit. The Ransom Center's volunteers are prepared to enrich group tours and visitor experiences. Should you prefer to make a group visit without the help of a docent, please inform us.

• Guidelines
  Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your tour is scheduled to begin and allow one hour for your tour. A docent will meet your group in the south atrium of the lobby and begin promptly at your designated tour time. If your group arrives more than 15 minutes after your designated start time, we cannot guarantee a docent-led tour. Cancellations: Contact us at least one week in advance to cancel a tour. The Center is able to accommodate group tours of up to 30 people. If your group is larger than 30, we will offer logistical suggestions for your visit.

  Remember
  

  • No food, drink, gum, or pens are allowed in the galleries.
  • Keep a safe distance between you and artifacts, documents, and works of art to avoid accidental contact and damage.
  • Backpacks, large bags, and umbrellas must be checked at the desk in the lobby area near the front entrance.
  • Flash photography is not permitted.

  Restrooms
