This keepsake booklet was produced to commemorate David Douglas Duncan: One Life, A Photographic Odyssey, a retrospective exhibition presented jointly by the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, The University of Texas at Austin, and the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum, from March 6, 1999 January 2, 2000.

Production of this booklet is made possible by the kind support of the Bill and Alice Wright Photography Endowment of the Harry Ransom Center. The Ransom Center also wishes to express deep gratitude to Harry Middleton, Lisa Royse and the staff of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.

This booklet is dedicated to Loraine and Victor Krutilek, my aunt and uncle, who continue to teach me much about the spirit of the generation and times that produced them and David Douglas Duncan.
